About the Role
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our bilingual preschool team. The ideal candidate will support our mission to provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their cognitive, social, and emotional development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with teaching staff to design and implement engaging and developmentally appropriate activities and lessons.
• Support students’ social and emotional development by providing individualized attention and encouragement.
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about children's progress and needs.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
• Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere that celebrates diversity.
• Participate in school events and activities, promoting a sense of community.
• Utilize digital tools and educational software to enhance learning experiences and administrative efficiency.
• Additional duties & responsibilities as required
Requirements
Qualifications:
Fluency in both Russian and English preferred; applicants demonstrating English fluency and proficiency in conversational Russian will be considered.
Completion of 12 postsecondary semester or equivalent quarter units in early childhood education or child development from an accredited college/university; applicants that have completed a minimum of 6 semester units and are currently enrolled in an accredited early childhood education or child development program will also be considered.
At least 6 months of work experience in a licensed child care center or comparable group child care program.
Certifications of completion in Mandated Reporter training and Pediatric First Aid/CPR
Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
A genuine passion for early childhood education and bilingual learning.
Patience, creativity, and a collaborative spirit.
Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Additional Information:
Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. In compliance with the law, prior to beginning work and as a condition of employment, all employees must provide documentation to prove eligibility to work in the United States.
Final candidates will need to pass Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation criminal background clearances, complete a physical exam, and provide a recent copy of a negative TB test and other immunization records.
